Our story

From Our Garden to Your Table

At Jnane Ayam Atlas, “jnane” means garden, and the garden is where everything begins. Our vegetables, herbs, olives and fruit are grown organically on the land around the auberge, watered by the Atlas and cared for by hands that have worked this soil for generations.

What is picked in the morning is on your plate at lunch. Olives from our own trees at breakfast, salads cut an hour ago, mint for tea taken straight from the bed. And if you wish, you can be part of the story: plant, harvest, then sit down to eat what you gathered.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Jnane Ayam Atlas from Marrakech?

The auberge is in Tnin Ourika, at the entrance of the Ourika Valley, under an hour's drive from Marrakech. It is an easy weekend getaway or day escape from the city.

Can I book an activity without staying overnight?

Yes. The hike, the valley day tour, the waterfalls with lunch by the river and the garden activities can be booked on their own or added to your stay. Message us on WhatsApp for availability and prices.

Are the activities suitable for children?

The garden activities, the 2-hour hike and the valley day tour are very family-friendly. The waterfall climb has rocky steps, so we recommend it for children who are comfortable walking.

Is the food really organic?

Our vegetables, herbs, olives and fruit are grown on site without chemical pesticides, and we complete them with produce from local farmers in the valley. What we cook follows the seasons of the garden.

What should I bring?

Comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sun cream and a light layer for the mountains. For the waterfalls, shoes with good grip and a change of clothes are useful.
